Jennifer Lottes is a circus artist, aerial performer, and instructor with over a decade of experience in performance, touring, and teaching. Originally from York, Nebraska, she began performing in 2012 after relocating to Seattle, Washington to train in circus arts following the completion of her college education.
In Seattle, Jennifer trained extensively with SANCA, Emerald City Trapeze, and Versatile Arts, developing a strong foundation in tissu, hammock, lyra, and corde lisse, as well as act creation and performance technique. During this time, she performed at venues including The Triple Door, Columbia City Theater, Emerald City Trapeze, Suite Lounge, and Seattle Fringe Festival, where she appeared in Dreams of Cthulhu as both an aerialist and actress.
Her career expanded through national touring and international work, including performances with Vampire Circus in Toronto and Carden National Circus, where she performed a range of roles such as hammock artist, trapeze artist, Spanish web, showgirl, and character work. Jennifer has also performed with United Circus / Shriners and in corporate events, private functions, weddings, and freelance productions throughout Nebraska, Kansas City, Seattle, and surrounding regions.
Jennifer has additional performance and teaching experience in Europe, including instruction in London at multiple training spaces, as well as performances abroad. She completed the professional course at Gravity Circus Centre in London, where her training focused on dance trapeze and corde lisse, alongside handstands, straps, floor movement, contortion, Pilates, and rigging.
Her movement background includes modern and tap dance, which she integrates into her aerial work to create fluid, musical, and expressive performances. She studied modern dance and ballet at the University of Nebraska and performed with EXIT Space Dance at Seattle’s Broadway Performance Hall.
From 2013 to 2015, Jennifer was represented by Colleen Bell Agency in Seattle, appearing in regional and national commercials including a Seattle Seahawks commercial and Fiverr commercials, as well as music videos and live performances. She was also represented by The Agency in Kansas City.
Jennifer is an experienced instructor, having taught aerial arts to adults and children across the United States and abroad, including studios in Seattle, Kansas City, Lincoln, London, and Des Moines. She holds certifications in CPR/AED and aerial rigging safety through Hall Rigging Academy, and emphasizes technique, safety, and sustainable training in both her teaching and performance work.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mesa State University and a science degree from Southeast Community College. Jennifer brings a disciplined, collaborative, and professional approach to her work and continues to train, perform, and teach with a focus on artistry, strength, and embodied storytelling in the air
